Arbalest fibula with barbed tail

  • Description of use A cross-shaped stop brooch with elongated barbed tails placed at the ends of the head spiral. The foot features stylized animal eyes. This brooch belonged to a wealthy man and was used to fasten the neckline of a cloak or skirt pulled over the head.
